A different way to experience Scotland – join our 5day Art Course

Treat yourself to a week of creativity in the Scottish countryside. Our 5-day art course in April or June take place in our welcoming country studio near Glasgow, where you can relax, explore your creativity and enjoy time dedicated entirely to art.

Led by artist and art lecturer Ewen Duncan, alongside our experienced team of professional artists, the course is suitable for everyone — from complete beginners to more experienced artists. Each day focuses on a different medium using a wide range of techniques and materials. You’ll explore colour, sketching, drawing and composition, work with oil, acrylic and watercolour, plus enjoy a full day of printmaking.

This varied programme gives you the chance to experiment, learn new skills and develop your own artistic style, all in a friendly and supportive studio environment.

You’ll also have plenty of opportunities to share ideas and experiences with like-minded creative people.

All materials and lunches are included, so you can simply turn up and enjoy your creative retreat while we take care of the rest.

We’re happy to help you find local accommodation. If you’re travelling with a partner or family member who isn’t taking part in the course, the nearby Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park offers a wide range of attractions and activities including walking, cycling, golf, fishing and horse riding.

Ewen has a basic knowledge of French and German, and his wife Claudia, who is German, is happy to support German-speaking guests with translation and communication if needed.
