Are you interested in textile & interior design, colour and pattern, would you like more confidence translating your ideas into a reality? Textile & Interior design have many elements in common such as understanding proportion, scale, creating successful colour combinations and how to accessorise and style effectively.

This textile & interior design class will help you to explore colour and composition for your interior through textile and surface pattern design. By studying design techniques you will gain a fuller understanding of how to balance a cohesive and harmonious scheme. This is an opportunity to experiment with pattern and colour, focus on what inspires you, colours you are instinctively drawn to and of course bring you joy!

We want to encourage your creative confidence by recognising which styles work for your environment enabling you to inject your personality to the scheme. You will learn how to create a mood/inspiration board, and how to develop ideas and vision. An element of technical planning will be included as will perspective drawing.

We will look at creating your personal colour palettes, pattern design and understanding texture by looking at a varied array of artists, designers and applications such as fabric, wallcoverings, greeting cards and giftwrap
