Watercolour classes
Water Colour classes – all materials provided – country studio setting near Glasgow
Our watercolour classes will help you to acquire a range of useful technical skills to develop your passion about watercolour. You will have the opportunity to use the medium in a traditional way or in a very loose and impressionistic approach. You will learn how to stretch paper, apply colour washes, learn about colours, how to bring out the full translucent quality of the watercolour medium and much more. Watercolour is one of the most versatile mediums to work in and we will help you to enjoy the process whilst working in a relax setting in a bright country studio. Class sizes are a maximum of 12 students,and you will be able to share your experience and receive support from each other. Our qualified and experienced course leader will guide you along the way by setting task and also encouraging you to develop our own style of watercolour painting.
You will be provided with plenty of visual examples and be working with still life’s, sketches and photographs. You will develop an understanding of colour theory and practise which will help you to create translucent and vibrant paintings and stimulate ideas about style, colour and composition.
As with all of our art courses and classes all materials are provided and included in the course fee. Our studio is located north of Glasgow in a rural country location just outside Killearn at Oakwood Garden Centre.
