Ceramic – handbuilding for beginners Sat 27 Jan 2024, 10-4pm, with Lorna Mackay, £132

This ceramic workshop is perfect for the complete beginner and for those who have experience of handling clay! Using a step by step approach we will teach you some of the key slab building skills needed, and in the process you will create your very own favourite vessel or sculpture.

You will learn the essential techniques of building, glazing and surface effects guided by ceramicist Lorna MacKay. You can follow your individual vision for the work you wish to produce or use provided samples as inspiration.

All levels welcome.

The items will be glazed ready for collection at the studio approx. 2 weeks later – we will email confirmation. Finished pieces can also be posted – this can be arranged in the class. All levels welcome.
