Discover the quiet magic of the forest through foraged flora and fungi during this wonderful autumn watercolour workshop.
Woodland plants and fungi offer an extraordinary range of shapes, colours, and textures, making them rich and rewarding subjects for watercolour painting.

This one-day workshop lead by artist Jodie Fowler Marshall invites you to slow down, observe closely, and explore botanical subjects gathered from the forest. Through guided exercises, we’ll translate what we see into expressive artwork using a variety of watercolour techniques. 

You’ll experiment with mark-making, texture, colour mixing, and composition, learning how to capture the character and subtle beauty of forest finds. The emphasis is on process, play, and close looking, rather than accuracy or perfection.

This workshop is open to all levels, from complete beginners to experienced artists. No prior experience is needed — just curiosity, a willingness to experiment, and a love of nature.

All materials, lunch and coffee/tea provided.
